At SaleTides, your privacy is a priority. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the rights you have over your data. By using the SaleTides platform ("Service"), you agree to the practices described in this policy.
1. Who We Are
SaleTides is an AI-powered WooCommerce sales analytics platform. References to "SaleTides", "we", "us", or "our" in this policy refer to the SaleTides service and its operators. If you have any questions about this policy, you can contact our privacy team at privacy@saletides.com.
2. Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly when you register (name, email address, company name, billing details); information from your connected WooCommerce store (orders, products, customers, subscriptions — fetched via the WooCommerce REST API with your authorisation); usage data such as pages visited, features used, and session duration; and technical data including IP address, browser type, device type, and cookies.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to: provide, operate, and improve the Service; generate analytics dashboards, reports, and AI-driven forecasts for your account; process subscription payments and send billing communications; send product updates, feature announcements, and support responses; detect and prevent fraud or abuse; and comply with legal obligations.
4. WooCommerce Store Data
When you connect your WooCommerce store, we access order history, product data, customer records, and subscription information via the WooCommerce REST API. This data is stored in your isolated tenant database and is used exclusively to power your SaleTides analytics. We do not use your store data to train shared AI models, and we never share it with other customers or third-party advertisers.
5. Cookies & Tracking
We use essential cookies to keep you logged in and maintain your session. We may use analytics cookies (such as those from privacy-respecting analytics tools) to understand how the platform is used in aggregate. You can control cookie preferences through your browser settings. Disabling essential cookies may affect platform functionality.
6. Data Sharing & Third Parties
We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with: payment processors (e.g. Stripe) to handle subscription billing; cloud infrastructure providers who host the Service under strict data processing agreements; and when required by law, court order, or to protect the rights and safety of SaleTides or its users. All third-party processors are contractually bound to handle your data securely and only for the purposes we specify.
7. Data Retention
We retain your account and store data for as long as your subscription is active. If you cancel your subscription, your data is retained for 30 days to allow for reactivation, after which it is permanently deleted from our systems. You may request immediate deletion at any time by contacting privacy@saletides.com.
8. Data Security
We implement enterprise-grade security measures including AES-256 encryption at rest, TLS encryption in transit, isolated per-tenant databases, role-based access controls, and regular security audits. While we take every reasonable precaution, no system is completely immune to risk. We will notify you promptly in the event of a data breach that affects your information.
9. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data: the right to access a copy of your data; the right to correct inaccurate data; the right to request deletion of your data; the right to restrict or object to processing; and the right to data portability. 10. International Data Transfers
SaleTides may store and process your data on servers located outside your country of residence. Where data is transferred internationally, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place — such as standard contractual clauses — to protect your information in accordance with applicable data protection laws.
11. Children's Privacy
The Service is not directed at children under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If we become aware that a child has provided us with personal information, we will delete it immediately. If you believe a child has submitted data to us, please contact privacy@saletides.com.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make significant changes, we will notify you by email or via an in-app notification before the changes take effect. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will always reflect the most recent revision. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
