Today we’re launching one of the most requested features yet: the SaleTides AI Assistant. You can now connect Claude or ChatGPT directly to your WooCommerce store’s data and simply ask for the numbers you need — no dashboards, no filters, no exports.
What Is the SaleTides AI Assistant?
The AI Assistant is built on the Model Context Protocol (MCP) — an open standard that lets AI assistants securely connect to external tools and data sources. SaleTides now runs its own MCP server, so once you connect it, Claude or ChatGPT can query your live WooCommerce data and answer questions in plain English.
Think of it as giving your AI assistant a direct line into your store’s revenue, orders, customers, inventory, and more — without ever sharing a spreadsheet or screenshot.
What You Can Ask
Once connected, you can ask things like:
- “How much revenue did we make last month compared to the month before?”
- “What were our top 5 best-selling products this quarter?”
- “Who are our top 10 customers by spend this year?”
- “Which countries are most of our orders coming from?”
- “What products are out of stock or running low right now?”
- “How many refunds did we process this week, and how much?”
- “What’s our current MRR and how has it changed this month?”
- “Which coupon codes are driving the most discounts?”
- “Show me this week’s abandoned carts.”
- “What’s our conversion rate trend over the last 30 days?”
Because the assistant queries your live SaleTides data, the answers always reflect what’s happening in your store right now.
How It Works
- Go to AI Assistant Access — Open Settings in your SaleTides dashboard and find the “AI Assistant Access” section.
- Connect Claude or ChatGPT — Add SaleTides as a connector inside Claude or ChatGPT and click “Authorize”. A secure OAuth screen confirms the connection.
- Ask anything, anytime — Open a chat with your AI assistant and ask about your store’s revenue, customers, products, or inventory.
No code, no API keys to copy and paste — just a quick authorisation and you’re connected.
Built With Security in Mind
Giving an AI assistant access to your store data shouldn’t feel risky, so we made sure it isn’t:
- Read-only access — Your AI assistant can analyse and report, but it can never create, edit, or delete orders, products, or customers.
- Secure OAuth connection — No passwords or API keys are ever shared with your AI assistant.
- Revoke anytime — Disconnect any AI assistant instantly from your SaleTides settings.
- Isolated data — Each store’s data is stored in its own dedicated database, so your AI assistant only ever sees your store’s data.
